The DUTCH Plus is a dried urine and saliva hormone test that builds on our DUTCH Complete panel and adds your Cortisol Awakening Response, the clearest window I have into how your adrenal system is coping with stress.

How sample collection works

Collection happens entirely at home, and combines two methods. You'll collect four dried urine samples onto filter paper cards across one day, around dinner time, before bed, first thing in the morning, and two hours after waking, the same as our DUTCH Complete test. On top of this, you'll collect saliva samples in the window right after waking, to capture your Cortisol Awakening Response.

Let every sample dry fully before it's packaged and sent to the lab. If you're still menstruating, I recommend collecting between days 19 and 22 of a 28-day cycle. Full instructions come with your kit, and our team is on hand the whole way through. Results are typically back within three to four weeks, and we'll book your consultation once they land.

How is DUTCH Plus different from DUTCH Complete? DUTCH Plus includes everything DUTCH Complete measures, hormones, their metabolites, and your daily cortisol pattern, and adds the Cortisol Awakening Response: how sharply your cortisol rises in the first hour after waking. It's the better choice when stress or adrenal fatigue looks like part of your picture.

How long do results take? Typically three to four weeks from when your samples reach the lab. We'll reach out to book your one-hour consultation as soon as your report is ready.

Do I need to stop any supplements or medications before testing? Some supplements and hormonal medications can affect your results. Once you order, our team will send you a short pre-collection checklist so we can plan around anything you're currently taking.

Is this test suitable if I'm not menstruating, pregnant, or in menopause? Yes. The collection protocol is adjusted for your stage, whether that's a regular cycle, menopause, or pregnancy. We'll confirm the right timing with you before your kit ships.
