What's the difference between this and an IgE allergy panel? This panel measures IgG, IgG4, and IgA, which relate to sensitivity and delayed immune responses. An IgE panel measures true, immediate allergic reactions. The two use different antibody pathways and are useful for different symptom patterns.
Which sample method should I choose? Dried blood spot is the simpler, at-home finger-prick option. Serum requires a standard blood draw. Both give the same three antibody results, so it comes down to what's more convenient for you.
Does medication affect my results? Let us know what you're currently taking before your sample is collected, so we can factor it in when your results are reviewed.
