Smart TVs support integrations with numerous apps and are able to connect to the internet – whereas regular TVs do not have this capability. 

The smart TV can either connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or with wired Ethernet. 

The apps that currently integrate with the smart TV are: Hulu, Hbo, Playstation, Netflix, Sling, Apple TV, and Prime.

You can! Since the smart TV has internet, you can open up the browser app and go online.
